This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to arrive from the north and northwest this evening into tonight. Some of these may be severe with hail to the size of ping pong balls and wind gusts over 60 MPH. This threat is primarily in south-central Nebraska, and most of Kansas is expected to remain dry through tonight. The main timeframe for severe weather is through 2am.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. A few isolated storms are possible on Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night, although many areas will remain dry. If storms develop, a few could become severe with wind gusts to 60 MPH and hail to the size of ping pong balls. Heat index values may also reach 100 degrees in southern parts of Rooks, Osborne and Mitchell Counties Tuesday afternoon. Another round of thunderstorms is expected Wednesday into Wednesday evening, and a few of these could become strong to severe.
