This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Widespread heat index values of around 100 to 104 degrees are expected today. Chances for storms return overnight tonight moving in from the northwest. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with hail up to the size of quarters and gusts up to 60 mph.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Heat index values across southern and eastern portions of the area Tuesday may reach 100 to 106 degrees. Widespread scattered storm chances continue through Tuesday afternoon and evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with hail up to the size of quarters and gusts up to 60 mph.
