This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north central Nebraska.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Critical fire weather conditions are likely today through early evening mainly along and west of Highway 83. Low relative humidity and gusty winds are expected and a red flag warning is in effect. There is a conditional threat for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into the evening hours. The main area of concern is east of a line from Bassett to Maywood. Large hail and damaging wind gusts are the main severe threats.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. There is a marginal risk for severe storms Sunday and Sunday night over northern Nebraska. The main area of concern is north of a line from Chappell to O`Neill. Large hail and damaging wind gusts are the main threats. Thunderstorms are possible again Monday and Monday night. At this time, the threat for any severe weather is uncertain. There will be a continued threat for thunderstorms Tuesday through Thursday across the area. At this time, the severe threat is low.
