This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
Overnight. A few thunderstorms remain possible into early Thursday morning, but severe weather is not expected. By far the primary concern into early Thursday morning will be flooding. Several areal and river Flood Warnings and a Flood Advisory are in effect for counties mainly east and southeast of the Nebraska Tri Cities down into north central Kansas

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday. Any lingering, mainly light rain will come to an end during the day Thursday. However, several Flood Warnings and/or Flood Advisories will remain in effect through at least sometime Thursday or Friday for counties mainly east and southeast of the Nebraska Tri Cities down into Kansas

Portions of north central Kansas, including the following counties, Jewell, Mitchell, Osborne, Phillips, Rooks and Smith and Nebraska, including the following counties, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Dawson, Fillmore, Franklin, Furnas, Gosper, Hall, Hamilton, Harlan, Kearney, Merrick, Nuckolls, Phelps, Polk, Thayer, Webster and York. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At least an inch with peak amounts as high as 3-5+ inches of rainfall have already fallen across the watch area so far with potentially 1-3 inches more inches still left to fall in some places. A few bands of heavy rainfall, primarily concentrated across portions of north central Kansas and far southern to southeastern Nebraska, could continue through the remainder of the night into Thursday morning. Shower activity will be expected to scatter out with the total coverage of showers gradually decreasing tonight and Thursday. Cumulative rainfall totals of mainly 2-4 inches is expected with higher localized amounts of 4-7 inches possible. Some areas, especially locations along or near low-lying or poor drainage areas, could see flooding. Even after the precipitation comes to an end, rising water along creeks, rivers and streams may continue to rise and could even exceed their banks in a few areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

WHEN
Until noon CDT Thursday. IMPACTS
Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 941 PM CDT, At 922 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that much of the Warning area had picked up at least 2.5 to 5 inches of rain in the last few hours. At least minor flooding of several rural roads is likely. Area creeks and rivers will also experience at least significant within-bank rises, and mainly minor flooding of some main rivers is also possible. At least portions of the Warning area could receive at least another inch of rain tonight before rain moves out or becomes much lighter, and, at least some lighter rain could also fall during the day Thursday before rain completely ends for several days. This areal Flood Warning effectively replaces the previously- issued Flood Advisory valid for much of the same area until 3 AM Thursday. - This includes the following streams and drainages
West Fork Big Blue River, Lincoln Creek, Turkey Creek, Little Sandy Creek, Beaver Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Pawnee Creek, School Creek, Sleepy Hollow Creek, Scott Creek, Buffalo Creek, South Fork Johnson Creek, Walnut Creek, South Fork Turkey Creek, Galaway Creek, Stone Creek, North Fork Johnson Creek, Dry Sandy Creek, South Fork Big Sandy Creek, Dove Creek, Little Blue River, Thirtytwo Mile Creek, Dry Run Creek, Liberty Creek and Oak Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. && LAT
