This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north central Nebraska.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Near critical fire weather conditions are possible into the early evening hours over the eastern panhandle or west of a line from Ogallala to Merriman. Minimum RH will range from 18 to 25 percent and west and northwest wind gusts up to 35 MPH are possible. Scattered thunderstorms are possible this evening, primarily across southwest and central Nebraska into the eastern Sandhills. At this time, there is a marginal risk for severe storms, generally east of a line from Ansley to Bartlett. Gusty winds are the main severe threat. A secondary area where strong to severe storms are possible is over southwestern Nebraska, generally south of Interstate 80. Gusty winds are the main threat in this area.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Thunderstorms are possible again Wednesday through Sunday across the area. At this time, the threat for severe weather is low.
