Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. WHERE
Portions of Colorado, including the following areas, Cheyenne CO, Kit Carson and Yuma, Kansas, including the following areas, Cheyenne KS, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Greeley, Logan, Norton, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace and Wichita, and southwest Nebraska, including the following areas, Dundy, Hitchcock and Red Willow. Through this afternoon. IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- An additional 0.25-3.00 inches of rain are forecast through Thursday afternoon. The heavier amounts will favor those closer to Central Kansas while the lower amounts will favor those near the Tri-State border. There may be a few pockets of 4-6 inches rainfall totals generally along and south I-70.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. &&
This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

TODAY AND TONIGHT
The Flood Watch remains in effect through this afternoon. Additional heavy rain is possible for areas generally south of Interstate 70 in Colorado and Kansas which could result in flash flooding over saturated soils.
