This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north central Nebraska.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Critical fire weather conditions are expected today through late evening. The main area of concern for near critical and critical fire weather conditions is west of highway 83. A red flag warning is in effect for the eastern Panhandle, western Sandhills and far southwestern Nebraska from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday. Near critical fire weather conditions are possible Monday generally west of highway 83. Minimum relative humidity will reach 20 to 25 percent with wind gusts up to 25 mph. Thunderstorms are possible Monday night across the area. There is a marginal risk for severe storms across the central Sandhills and portions of north central Nebraska with hail and damaging winds as the main threats. The threat for thunderstorms will continue Tuesday through Wednesday. At this time the severe threat is low.
