Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE
Central Surry County in northwestern North Carolina
WHEN
Until 645 PM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 247 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages
Fisher River, Chestnut Creek, Beaver Creek, Davenport Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Cooks Creek and Cody Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
