Watauga County in northwestern North Carolina
Southwestern Wilkes County in northwestern North Carolina
WHEN
Until 800 AM EDT. IMPACTS
Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 547 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated light to moderate rainfall. However, flooding is ongoing in the warned area due to between 4 and locally 7 inches of rain that fell since Saturday morning. - This includes the following streams and drainages
Fall Creek, Norris Fork, Flat Branch, Elk Creek, Mill Creek, Dugger Creek, Little Dugger Creek, Laurel Fork, Dutch Creek, Meat Camp Creek, Brushy Fork, Grassy Creek and Left Prong Stony Fork. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include

Until 1100 AM EDT. IMPACTS
Flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over a few roadways, possibly including Todd Railroad Grade Road along the South Fork of the New River. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 515 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages
Cove Creek, Big Laurel Creek, Big Horse Creek, Call Creek, Beaver Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Brushy Fork and Beech Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
