Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 500 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Clinton, Mount Olive, Roseboro, Stedman, Garland, Newton Grove, Salemburg, Turkey, Falcon, Autryville, Seven Springs, Hobbton, Spivey`s Corner, Bushy Lake Natural Area, Cedar Creek and Cliffs Of The Neuse State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Today and tonight. There is a Marginal risk (level 1 of 4) of excessive rainfall this afternoon through early evening. Slow moving storm clusters may produce locally heavy rainfall and areas of flooding.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Sunday through Friday. Increasing heat and humidity is likely during the upcoming work week, with Wednesday and Thursday as the hottest days. Heat index values may reach 100 degrees Monday and 100 to 105 degrees Tuesday through Friday.
