This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North Carolina
east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight Very hot conditions can be expected especially over portions of the southeast in the central and southern Tennessee Valley this afternoon, including Knoxville and Chattanooga, although showers and thunderstorms will bring an abrupt end to the worst of the today`s heat to any given location as they move through. Showers and thunderstorms will move through this afternoon and evening, and the stronger of these storms will likely produce damaging wind gusts. In addition, locally heavy rainfall may produce localized flooding, especially in areas where the ground is already wet.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening. Any reports of wind damage or flooding will be appreciated.
