Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE
A portion of North Mississippi, including the following counties, Itawamba, Prentiss and Tishomingo. WHEN
Until 900 PM CDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 551 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Tishomingo State Park, Belmont, Tishomingo, Burton, Sandy Springs, Fairview, Midway, Golden, Paden, Dennis, Moores Mill, Neil, Thrasher, Bloody Springs, Mingo, Carter Branch, Holcut, Petertown, Altitude and Eastman. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
