This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Significant frost and freeze risk. Significant fire weather risk. DISCUSSION
Elevated to significant fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon as humidity levels dip into the 20s and 30s with some wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph possible. Temperatures tonight will drop into the upper 20s to mid 30s across the area which will bring widespread frost to the area along with a freeze potential for all but south central Missouri along the Missouri Arkansas border. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday. Elevated to localized significant fire weather conditions will be possible on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week as increased winds will combine with a dry air mass which will remain in place. Frost and a freeze conditions are likely over portions of the area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and possible again across portions of the eastern Ozarks Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
