Wentworth Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION
Localized areas of elevated fire weather risk today. Minimum Relative humidity values in the 25 to 35 percent range with occasional gusty southeasterly winds near 15 to 20 mph is forecast for today. Paired with quite warm temperatures for October and very dry fuels, fire starts may be easier to attain over the next few days.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Dry agricultural conditions paired with daily humidity values dropping into the 20-35% range may increase the chance for fire starts, but winds generally below 15 mph should limit fire spread danger. Higher gusts up to 20-30 mph are possible early to middle of next week.
