DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk. Limited lightning risk. Elevated extreme heat risk. DISCUSSION
Scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm, capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 50 to 70 mph. Hot temperatures persist with highs in the upper 90s to lower 100s and heat index values between 100 and 110 degrees.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday. Hot temperatures continue west of Highway 65 on Monday, with highs in the upper 90s to near 100 and heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees. Additional extreme heat on Tuesday and Wednesday. Shower and thunderstorm chances of 50 to 80 percent on Wednesday evening into Thursday along a frontal passage.
