This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Marginal hail risk. Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk. Limited lightning risk. Elevated extreme heat risk. DISCUSSION
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to push southeast through the area during the remainder of the afternoon and early evening hours. Isolated damaging wind gusts to 60 mph and hail to the size of quarters could occur in a few storms, however the overall severe threat remains very low.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Sunday through Friday. Thunderstorms will be possible Sunday night into early Monday, possibly resulting in localized flooding. Heat Index values in the 90s to around 100 will be common at times this weekend into next week with the highest values west of Springfield.
