This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Limited lightning risk. Elevated Fog risk. DISCUSSION
Showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms will continue to move across portions of south central Missouri early this morning. Additional isolated thunderstorms will be possible later this morning into this afternoon southeast of a Branson to Salem Missouri line. There is a low chance for a storm to linger across far south central Missouri into this evening. Lightning and brief heavy rain will be the hazards with any storm today. Patchy fog will be possible across portions of southeastern Kansas into central Missouri early this morning. Additional fog development will be possible tonight into Saturday.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Shower and thunderstorm chances will occur Saturday afternoon into early Sunday morning. There is a Marginal, 1 out of 5, Severe Thunderstorm risk across portions of east central Kansas into central Missouri Saturday and Saturday night. A few strong to severe storms with damaging winds the main risk will be possible. Additional scattered thunderstorm chances will then occur at times during the middle and end of next week.
