Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Elevated extreme heat risk. Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION
The heatwave continues today with afternoon heat index values of 100 to 110 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect areawide. The heat combined with the lack of recent rainfall and drying fuels will result in an elevated grassland fire risk today.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. A prolonged heat wave will continue through at least early next week, with daily highs in the middle 90s to low 100s, and maximum heat index values around 100 to 110.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
