This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. Significant fire weather risk. DISCUSSION
Gusty winds continue into the overnight hours, gusting out of the southwest up to 30 mph, especially west of highway 65. Relative humidity will begin to recover after sunset, reducing fire danger.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday. The next chance for precipitation comes Sunday. There is a 50 to 80 percent chance for a quick line of showers and some thunderstorms to move through during the day Sunday, bringing a 15 percent chance for wind gusts exceeding 60 mph, mainly east of Highway 65. Widespread wind gusts up to 35 to 45 miles per hour will be possible along with light snow late Sunday evening into the overnight.
