This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Elevated extreme heat risk. DISCUSSION
Afternoon heat indicies in the upper 90s to around 100 can be expected southwest of Springfield.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday. There is a marginal risk for severe storms late Friday night into early Saturday morning across eastern Kansas and west central Missouri. Confidence is low however a thunderstorm complex may move across these areas. Additional shower and thunderstorm chances exist on a daily basis this weekend into early next week however many locations will remain dry. Hot and conditions are expected again across the area through the end of the week and into the weekend. The hottest conditions will occur southwest of Springfield and across southeast Kansas.
