This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 PM for portions of southeast Missouri and west Kentucky, roughly south of a line from Greenville Missouri to Murray Kentucky. Heat indices up to 105 are expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday Heat indices will climb into the 100 to 105 range throughout the Quad State Wednesday. Continued hot and dry conditions through Wednesday, coupled with rapidly drying vegetation, may result in increased fire starts. A chance of thunderstorms is forecast throughout the Quad State from late Wednesday night through Thursday. Locally heavy rainfall and lightning will be the primary concerns.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
