This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Marginal tornado risk. Marginal hail risk. Slight thunderstorm wind damage risk. Limited lightning risk. Elevated extreme heat risk. Elevated excessive rainfall risk DISCUSSION
Hot and humid conditions will continue this afternoon and evening with heat indicies between 100 and 105. Showers and thunderstorms look to develop late this afternoon and evening, mainly east of Highway 65. Damaging winds to 70 mph is the most likely hazard Large hail to the size of golf balls and a tornado are secondary, lower confidence hazard types. Flooding potential remains low and confined to the far eastern Ozarks where any storms can move over the same areas.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday. Hot and conditions are expected again across the area through the end of the week and into the weekend with mostly dry conditions. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
