Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Limited extreme heat risk. DISCUSSION
Afternoon and evening heat indicies will reach the upper 90s to around 100 across the area, especially locations west of Springfield.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Sunday through Friday. Heat index values around 100 to 105 degrees will persist Sunday through early next week. Longevity of elevated heat with only limited relief during the night will elevate heat risk as we go through next week.
