DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Limited extreme heat risk. DISCUSSION
Despite the majority of the area remaining in the 80s this afternoon, portions of far southern Missouri and far southeast Kansas could reach the mid 90s. Heat index values in these areas could climb into the low 100s.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Heat index values of 100-110 are possible Tuesday and Wednesday. Thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night and Wednesday night. There is a low end severe risk with these storms, but confidence in details is low.
