DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected
Limited extreme heat risk. Elevated fire weather risk. DISCUSSION
There are some concerns for Elevated Fire Weather Danger primarily west of Highway 65 this afternoon. This is due to minimum relative humidity values in the 25 to 35 percent range with southwesterly winds gusting to 25 mph. Maximum afternoon heat index values around 100 to 105 this afternoon.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday. A prolonged heat wave is expected through the upcoming week, with daily highs in the middle 90s to low 100s, and maximum heat index values around 100 to 105 or higher.
