This Afternoon and Tonight A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8PM EDT. Please see the heat headline for additional details. There is a Slight Risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening. Damaging winds to 70 mph, hail to 1.5 inch, and an isolated tornado threat are all possible. Highly localized flooding is also possible. Storm motion is generally northwest to southeast at 40 to 45 mph.

Thursday through Tuesday A chance of strong thunderstorms continues for Thursday and Friday as well with locally heavy rain possible.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside.
