This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Gale-force winds are possible for a few hours this morning over the waters around southern Maryland. Damaging wind gusts and a couple of brief tornadoes are possible this afternoon to evening. Special Marine Warnings may be needed for parts of the waters as well.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING
WHAT
Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. WHERE
Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties. WHEN
From 2 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EDT this evening, especially around the time of high tide. IMPACTS
At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island and docks near Dahlgren. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 8:54 AM and 9:12 PM. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 5:18 PM and 5:43 AM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 4:12 PM and 4:31 AM.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
