This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.
DAY ONE
Tonight Additional severe storms with damaging wind gusts are possible this evening into the first half of the overnight period.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Multiple disturbances are forecast to move from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic through the end of the week. Depending on timing, several rounds of severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday through Friday. Damaging wind gusts are the main threat. A Heat Advisory is in effect for southern MD, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Stafford, King George, Spotsylvania, and Prince WIlliam counties 11am to 8pm Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
