COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT FRIDAY

Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. WHERE
Shoreline in Calvert County. WHEN
Until 6 PM EDT Friday, especially around the time of high tide. IMPACTS
At 3.0 feet, water is expected to reach backyards near 9th Street in North Beach, and could approach 9th Street. At 3.5 feet, yards are flooded near Charles Street and Williams Street in Solomons. Nearby parking lots and the streets themselves are covered by more than a half foot of water. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Chesapeake Beach is at 3:21 AM and 3:51 PM. The next high tide at Solomons Island is at 1:39 AM and 1:56 PM.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.
DAY ONE
Tonight A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect today and tonight for St Mary`s County and Anne Arundel County.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday Coastal Flood Warnings continue for Anne Arundel and Saint Mary`s Counties through Friday. Gale Watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon along the Chesapeake Bay south of North Beach and along the Tidal Potomac south of Cobb Island.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
