DAY ONE
Tonight A Tornado Watch is in effect for northern and central Maryland as well as western Maryland, eastern West Virginia, and portions of northern Virginia until 8 PM. Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph and large hail are possible. A few tornadoes are possible, which could be strong. Elsewhere, a few severe thunderstorms are possible through 8 PM this evening. Severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph, a few instances of large hail, and perhaps a tornado. Monitor the latest forecast for updates, and be sure to have a way to receive warnings promptly.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible on Friday into Friday night on the Blue Ridge and in the Potomac Highlands, which could lead to isolated wind damage and power outages.
