Until 830 PM CDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 454 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Kenner, Hahnville, Avondale, Marrero, Harahan, Westwego, Luling, Ama, Boutte, St. Rose, Destrehan, Waggaman, Bayou Gauche, Paradis, River Ridge, Elmwood, Des Allemands and Bridge City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Central Jefferson, Central Plaquemines, Central St. Charles, Central Tangipahoa, Coastal Jefferson, Eastern Orleans, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower St. Charles, Lower Tangipahoa, Northern St. Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Southeast St. Tammany, Southwestern St. Tammany, St. John The Baptist, Upper Jefferson, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St. Bernard, Upper St. Charles, Washington and Western Orleans and southern Mississippi, including the following counties, Pearl River, Pike and Walthall. Through Sunday evening. IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms producing locally heavy rainfall are expected this evening and continuing through Sunday. A large area with rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches with locally higher amounts of 6 to 8 inches is expected in the watch area through Sunday evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
