Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE
A portion of east central Kentucky, including the following counties, Bath, Fleming, Menifee and Rowan. WHEN
Until 1045 PM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 842 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will allow minor flooding to persist or worsen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Owingsville, Marshall, Salt Lick, Polksville, Peasticks, Moore`s Ferry, Slate Valley, Craigs, Olympia, Wyoming, Midland, Grange City, Ramey, Bourbon Furnace, Olympia Springs, Young Springs, Odessa, Oakley, Farmers and Ringos Mills.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. && LAT

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Thunderstorms are possible, and could bring locally heavy rainfall which results in flash flooding. The most intense storms may also produce isolated strong to damaging winds.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday. Thunderstorms are possible at times Friday through Saturday, and also Sunday night through Tuesday. Locations where thunderstorms are the most frequent or persistent could have localized flash flooding. The most intense storms on Friday and Saturday could also produce strong to damaging winds.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Spotters are requested to report any occurrences of flooding or wind damage.
