Old Pond Church Weather Advisories
Hot Conditions Expected Through Friday
High temperatures will reach the 90s for locations below 2500 elevation this afternoon and Thursday afternoon, with heat index values peaking at or just above 100 degrees for many locations. The hot conditions may extend through Friday, though this is lower confidence due to possible clouds and potential shower and thunderstorm activity. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. If possible, limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Those with outdoor activities during the afternoon to early evening should drink plenty of fluids and take frequent breaks. Stay in an air- conditioned room as much as possible, limit time in direct sunlight, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.
