- Training thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour will continue to bring areas of flash flooding to the Flood Watch. Some of the flooding could be significant.

FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR PULASKI, BALLARD AND NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI COUNTIES
At 248 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include
Charleston, La Center, Wickliffe, Bertrand, Mounds, Barlow, Mound City, Wyatt, Lovelaceville, Kevil, Olmsted, New Grand Chain, Pulaski, Wilson City and Blandville.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.
DAY ONE
Tonight Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to move east southeast across the Quad State through the night. Severe storms with damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes will be possible, mainly to the south of a DuQuoin Illinois to Greenville Kentucky line. A swath of very heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding concerns overnight. Refer to the Flood Watch for additional details.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Small chances of thunderstorms are forecast Thursday afternoon, and then off and on from Friday night through Tuesday. Brief heavy downpours and lightning would be the primary concerns.
