FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THURSDAY
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Thunderstorms will affect some locations tonight. Locally heavy rainfall could result in isolated flash flooding. The most intense storms may also produce strong to damaging winds this evening.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday. Additional rounds of thunderstorms are possible Thursday through Friday. Locations experiencing multiple storms with heavy rainfall during this time could have flash flooding. Thunderstorms are also possible at times from Saturday through Tuesday, but at this point are not expected to be as intense.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
A FLOOD ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE
The Flood Advisory is for portions Laurel and Jackson counties in Kentucky. WHEN
The Flood Advisory is in effect until 1100 PM EDT. IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas is expected. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 910 PM EDT, weather radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms had occurred. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. More than an inch of rain has likely fallen in some locations in an hour`s time. - Some locations that may experience flooding include
London, Mcwhorter, Langnau, Greenmount, Atlanta, Maplesville, Crawford, Deer Lick, Moores Creek, Portersburg, Benge, Royrader, Peoples, Green Hill, Victory, Fogertown, Pittsburg, Datha, Cornelius and East Bernstadt.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. && LAT
