Tonight Heat indices will remain in the 101 to 105 range into the early evening hours.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday Triple digit heat indices are expected each afternoon through early evening over the upcoming week. Isolated thunderstorms may impact parts of central Kansas on Tuesday evening and across much of the area late Wednesday.

Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
