Heat index values around 105 to 110 degrees will occur across the area again this afternoon into early this evening. Limited relief will occur during the overnight hours as lows only cool into the middle 70s to the lower 80s. There is a low chance (less than 20 percent) for an isolated thunderstorm across portions of central Missouri today. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds would be possible if storms can develop. Coverage will be limited and most locations should remain dry today.
