Sedgwick Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas, South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Tonight Patchy fog and some light drizzle will remain possible this evening and tonight. Widespread dense fog is not expected. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop across southern and southeast Kansas after 1 or 2 am. Strong to marginally severe storms are possible, with dime to quarter size hail being the main concern.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to linger across southern and southeast Kansas Wednesday morning. Dime to quarter size hail may accompany the strongest activity. Additional storm chances are forecast late Thursday through Friday night. Strong to severe storms are possible Thursday night with large hail being the main threat. As we move into Friday afternoon and Friday evening, supercell storms may develop along a dryline bringing a threat for large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes. Repeated rounds of heavy rain may lead to localized flooding concerns. Very high grassland fire danger is forecast during the afternoon hours on Thursday and Friday. However, rainfall and more moisture should dampen more widespread fire weather potential.
