Western Sheridan County in northwestern Kansas
Thomas County in northwestern Kansas
Western Gove County in west central Kansas
Logan County in west central Kansas
WHEN
Until 300 PM CDT. IMPACTS
Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 1132 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Colby, Oakley, Grinnell, Levant, Rexford, Winona, Monument, Gem, Menlo, Russell Springs, Mingo, Halford, Angelus and The Monument Rocks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. && LAT

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. WHERE
Portions of east central Colorado, including the following area, Cheyenne CO and Kansas, including the following areas, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Greeley, Logan, Norton, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace and Wichita. WHEN
Until 6 PM MDT /7 PM CDT/ this evening. IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- An additional 0.25-2.00 inches of rain are forecast through Thursday afternoon. The heavier amounts will favor those closer to Central Kansas while the lower amounts will favor those near the Tri-State border. There may be a few pockets of 4-6 inches rainfall totals generally along and south I-70.

The Flood Watch remains in effect through this afternoon. Additional heavy rain is possible for areas generally south of Interstate 70 in Colorado and Kansas which could result in flash flooding over saturated soils.
