Mayflower Church Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight. Heat index readings of 100 degrees or slightly higher are expected this afternoon within limited parts of our area
overall-most favored within Rooks, Osborne, and Mitchell counties in Kansas. Mainly after 10 PM, a few strong to marginally-severe storms cannot be ruled out as activity arrives into our area out of the west, with the main threat being wind gusts up to around 60 MPH. Should any severe storms actually occur in our area, they would be most favored within Nebraska counties west of Highway 281 and/or along and north of Interstate 80.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Both Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, heat index values as high as 100 to 105 degrees will be possible across areas near and south of the Nebraska/Kansas state line. Better thunderstorm chances return to the local area Wednesday evening through Sunday.
