This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
This afternoon and Tonight An isolated storm will be possible for areas along and east of Interstate 135 this afternoon. Strong or severe storms are not expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday Heat indices will potentially exceed 100 area-wide Monday afternoon. Gusty winds and unseasonably hot temperatures may briefly support very high grassland fire danger west of I-135 Monday afternoon. Periodic chances for showers and storms will return by Monday night and continue through Saturday morning. A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will be possible along with heavy rainfall and localized flooding.
