Lyons High School Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon over portions of east-central and southeast Kansas. Not everyone will see a shower or storm, and severe weather is unlikely. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop later tonight, mainly along and east of I-135. Quarter size hail and 60 mph winds may accompany the strongest activity, along with locally heavy rainfall.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday Thunderstorms may linger over far eastern Kansas into Monday morning. Periodic thunderstorm chances are forecast to continue across the region from late Tuesday through at least next weekend, with the highest chances generally during the evening, nighttime, and morning hours. A few instances of severe weather are possible. Heat indices greater than 100 are possible in southern Kansas on both Monday and Tuesday afternoon into the early evening hours, and then again next weekend.
