This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Heat indices between 105 and 109 are likely this afternoon and early evening across south-central and southeast Kansas. See heat advisory for the latest details. Showers and storms are possible for much of today and tonight. Some strong to marginally severe storms are possible across south-central and southeast Kansas this afternoon with very localized downbursts causing wind gusts between 55 and 65 mph. Additionally, possible heavy rainfall may cause localized flooding across southeast Kansas late tonight.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday Showers and storms may linger until late Thursday morning or early Thursday afternoon across south-central and southeast Kansas. Scattered storm chances will return for Friday night and continue through Tuesday. Some storms may produce heavy rainfall and localized flooding across southeast Kansas on Saturday.
