This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Tonight A few showers and thunderstorms are possible late tonight across south-central Kansas. Severe weather is not expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday A few showers and thunderstorms could linger over portions of south-central and southeast Kansas into Monday morning. Severe weather is not expected. Additional thunderstorm chances are possible Tuesday night, mainly along and northeast of a line extending from Russell to Newton to Chanute, with a few strong thunderstorms possible. Thunderstorm chances will be present areawide Wednesday night. Heat indices between 100 and 105 degrees are expected to return Tuesday afternoon areawide, and again over southern Kansas Wednesday afternoon.
