This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and portions of north central Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight. An isolated non-severe thunderstorm will be possible along and east of Hwy-81 through the mid-morning. Heat Advisory remains in effect for southeastern portions of the forecast area through Saturday.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Saturday for southeastern parts of the outlook area. Heat index values near 105 degrees are expected each afternoon. Sunday trends slightly cooler, but some areas will likely still see heat index values over 100 degrees. Low (20-30%) chances for thunderstorms return Friday night through Wednesday. Steady south winds (10 to 15 MPH) will provide some relief during the afternoons, although winds will decrease in the late afternoon and evenings each day.
