This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Heat indices this afternoon and early evening will be around 105 degrees area wide. See latest heat advisory for additional details. A storm or two will be possible late this afternoon or early evening along or north of Interstate 70. Small hail and gusty winds will be the main threat if a storm develops.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Monday through Saturday Afternoon and early evening heat indices for Monday through Wednesday will be around 105 degrees across the entire area. For Thursday, southern Kansas will likely still see heat indices in the 100 to 105 degree range. Off-and-on thunderstorm chances are expected to expand south across the entire region Wednesday night through the weekend. A few strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, along with pockets of heavy rainfall.
