Center View School Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Heat indices between 100 and 105 degrees are expected to return this afternoon areawide, highest in south-central and portions of southern Kansas. See the Heat Advisory for more details. Thunderstorm chances are expected to increase this evening across central Kansas, and persist through the night, mainly along and northeast of a line extending from Great Bend to Newton to Chanute. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, capable of large hail and damaging winds.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday Thunderstorm chances will be present areawide Wednesday night, with a few strong to severe storms possible. Heat indices greater than 100 degrees are possible on Wednesday afternoon along the Kansas and Oklahoma border. More widespread heat indices greater than 100 degrees are expected again on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday impacting much of south-central and southeast Kansas.
