This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Dangerous heat indices in the 105 to 110 degree range will be in place area wide this afternoon and early evening. See latest extreme heat warning for additional details. Scattered storms will be possible after 4 pm for parts of central Kansas. Dime size hail and downburst winds up to 55 mph will be possible with the stronger storms.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday Heat indices for Friday and Saturday will be in the 102 to 108 degree range with the highest values over south central and southeast Kansas. Storms will be possible each night during the Friday night through Sunday night time frame, with western and central Kansas having the better coverage. A few strong storms appear possible with this activity.
