This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight A few storms may linger across south central Kansas this morning. Severe weather is not expected. Storms could redevelop over south central and southeast Kansas late this afternoon or evening. If storms can develop a few of them could become severe with large hail up to the size of golf balls, and damaging winds up to 70 mph. Storm development is more likely to occur tonight and continue through the overnight hours. The primary risk would be large hail and locally heavy rainfall.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday Storms could affect southeast Kansas Friday morning with locally heavy rainfall as the main hazard. Thunderstorm chances may return to central Kansas on Tuesday afternoon and area-wide Wednesday night.
