Amherst Church Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.
DAY ONE
Tonight A handful of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this evening through tonight, generally along and northwest of the Kansas Turnpike. While widespread severe weather is not anticipated, the strongest activity will be capable of quarter size hail, 60 to 70 mph winds, and locally heavy rain.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday A few thunderstorms could linger across south-central and southeast Kansas on Wednesday morning, but severe weather is not expected. Thunderstorm chances look to increase late Sunday into early next week. Stay tuned as we refine forecast details. Widespread triple digit heat indices are expected this weekend into early next week.
